  1. If he does this numerous times, and you think that he does this with the intent that you hear it it, it could be considered sexual harassment. It's not something he should be discussing in front of an employee, male OR female.

  2. I have heard loads of men doing this to women. If it made you feel uncomfortable it is very likely he knew this and that was his intention. I don't understand why men who are in positions of power already feel the need to undermine a woman more!

Anyway, I would mention it to someone cos if he does it again you want to be able to start a complaint about it.

Don't know why people think  this is is a trolling question - sounds feasible to me.

  3. I think he obviously knew what he was doing, so i think that is of some offence because he was probably doing it deliberately.

  4. I would report it; actually do you feel like you can say anything to your boss like, "In order for me to do quality work I need to be able to concentrate." It truly is not appropriate office behavior for anyone, boss or not, to be having that type of a conversation on work time.I hope for you it all works out.

  5. Save your text type for your cell not in public where it's not costing you to text. If it bothers you so much that you have to spread your concern over the internet then you should have at least some sense to know what to do. Your a big girl......or are you? =/

  6. Oh, come on. I can understand its a little uncomfortable to overhear that, but he was talking on the phone so he obviously wasn't directing it at you, he probably didn't even know you were listening.

AND he doesn't even know it bugs you, because it seems like you haven't said anything to him yet.

This isn't abuse, its not even sexual harassment, its called overhearing a private conversation and feeling uncomfortable about it.

If you feel its insulting, bring it up with him, dont just up and make his life hard by reporting him for frivolous reasons.

Your a grown woman, you should be able to handle this maturely and rationally.

  7. I understand how you might feel offended, but as a female who has worked around mostly only men her whole life, I can tell you, chances are he probably wasn't even paying attention to you. If it were me, I would've turned around and said " Hey now, thats just too much to know bout my boss, cut it out." If you say it with a smile, it's not confrontational, but it gets the point across. Because hes never done this before to you, and because so many of the women respect him, like I said before he probably didn't even realize. If you find this hard to believe, just think back on any man you've ever been with, and think about how oblivious they were to certain things, they are all like that. He didn't touch you, he wasn't talking to you, he didn't wink or make any comments to you or about you, and he walked away while he was still talking rather than finishing the call and standing there with you for a reaction.Thats not sexual harrassment, at best hes guilty of not having a censor in his head, if you can't take it lightly and it absolutely bothers you , simply go up to him and say "Hey you probably didn't even realize it, but your call the other day was pretty distracting, and it kinda bothered me." Thats it. If he flirts or trys to be sexual, THEN you report him.

  8. you should tell someone because this is a form of sexual harassment. even though he wasn't talking directly to you, he shouldn't have been discussing that in front of you.

  9. That's insulting to you. I would say something to him. Or make a report to HR. That is so not appropriate.
