This is an idea I have had for a while now. It's basically a gimmick to get people to come to my restaurant. So it would be an all you can eat buffet that has the food going around on conveyor belts so you just take what ever you want right from there. You pay when you leave the restaurant about $15 for dinner and $10 for lunch. It would be all american food like burgers, fries, pizza, and mac n cheese, and all other comfort foods. SO Please let me know what you think!!! THANKS!

  1. People already do that and yeah I would definately go just cause of the food going around....wait but people can touch it and then leave it and then you might eat it....

I think it's a pretty good idea but maybe you should do one for like each table or something cause people might be scared of other people touching the food that they are eating.

  2. Not too bad of an idea, I'd be worried about some moron before touching it or coughing on it all though. A small conveyor belt maybe

  3. I have never heard of anything like that before.  Sounds pretty interesting!

  4. kinda disgusting.......i wouldn't eat there, sorry...very creative though

  5. I think it would be rather difficult to get all the details down like the speed and where it was located the visibility of the food etc.. but more importantly people go to Buffets for variety if you stick to just "all American food" I don't think it'd go as well although i do have to say I'd go once no matter just to see what it's like.

  6. it is good just be carfull i mean think your plan out carefully

  7. How are you going to put a sneeze guard over that conveyor belt? Just try having a buffet without one. And how are people going to take food out of a moving  pan or plate without making a mess? Just doesn't seem very practical to me.Sorry.

  8. some sushi places use a conveyer belt to circle the food around at the counter where the people are eating. I think your idea is good but how will you keep the food warm, there are health regulations for food temperatures, thats why most buffets have those metal pans inside a steamer, also I think 15$ might be a little pricey for such basic fare when a person can go to a buffet steakhouse and get the steak dinner and buffet with dessert bar for cheaper. Not being rude just giving my opinion. Good Luck

  9. GREAT IDEA!!

Just make sure the belt is clean and the food is always protected from the belt. Like a wrapper or something!  I'd eat there, sure!!

Another idea, have those heating lamp things above the belt!

  10. Might be good! I just wouldn't want other people grabbing food, putting it back, coughing or sneezing on the food and then I eat it ~ yuck...

That could still happen at salad bars...  Hmmm...

They have protective covering that kind of hangs down so far... Also, maybe you could have food in containers with flip up lids...

The things that make ya go hmmm~~~

  11. I depends on the area you live in if that would be a big sell.  I live in CA. You would have to include some ethnic items if you wnated it to be successful.  I was in Little Tokyo yesterday and the Japanese bakeries were selling Taco doughnuts.  They know who their neighbors are and want to make money.

  12. OMG dude. Did you actually think of that by yourself or did you actually copy? Because in Korea, that's how some of their restaurants are. It's AMAZING! If you did think of it on your own, I bow to you. There's not a restaurant like that in the U.S so you can be the first to develop it here. (If you even live in America). It's definitely awesome and I believe you should do it even though it already exists in another country.
