  1. Tried to once and the bum said he only wanted cash....... Can you believe that!

  2. Nothing!. I hate beggers and once one of them chased me along george street in edinburgh.

  3. Both. If I have food on me (that I have not eaten of course) and is still fresh and good to eat that I bought for myself - I'll give that to them. Although most times, they don't want the food in which case I don't give them nothing because I would not want them to spend my money on drugs or alcohol. Sometimes I'll give them money - depending on whether they are actually homeless or just some crackhead looking for ways to get drug money.

  4. I've given food.  My question to you is why is this in the cooking category instead of philosophy or ethics?

  5. I used to buy books of tickets to fast food places, so that I could give them to people so they could at least have a hot cup of tea or coffee and a hamburger or the like. They probably just sold them, though.

  6. Yes I would. I was not put here on earth to judge people. If they buy food then great if not then oh well. Their hunger for some thing else is greater.

One time my brother and I were walking through a shopping center parking lot and there was a man who was claiming that he was deaf. He was selling home made key chains. Well I bought one from him and my brother did not. I asked my Brother why he did not help the poor man and he said to teach me a lesson. I was confused and my Brother said watch. He turned around and whistled so dang loud and the man turned around and looked right at us. My Brother just said to be an honest hustler and not lie. The man wanted to give me my money back and he was apologizing to me but I told him to keep it.

Not all are the same. My younger Brother once gave a man some change he had. My Mom said not to because he was only going top go and buy liquor with it. Well a week or so after that my Brother ran into the same man and he shook my Brothers hand and said thank you Bro this is what you bought for me. He grabbed his shirt and showed my Brother.

Jesus will some times come down and test us. I truly believe in this. So I help who ever, how ever I can.

To all the dumb A$$ who want to know where I am so you can get money...Remember God is watching you too....

  7. I would give him a advice where he could work or what he could do. never give them money, that's why they're so useless, they get used to begging and don't even try to find a job. just like a father the best thing he could give to his son, is his studies,  the best you could give to a beggar is advice on what to do.

  8. i'd give him one of these:

    http://www.mcdonalds.com/usa/shop/certif...

  9. I would buy something for them to eat.

Treat others as you would like to be treated.

  10. its a proven fact, they don't want something to eat they want money. they don't always care about eating.

  11. This is an interesting question. a homeless man asked my father for some money, my father feeling bad, offered the man a job instead. the man asked what he would be paid. My father told him 7 dollars an hour, the man said no, that he was worth more than that! I another instance, we have offered homeless people food, and they say no, they would rather have the money. I was just watching on the news how they were saying the average pan handler makes about 20,000-30,000 a year. Even more in Cali, where the go after the people with wealth like the stars and such. I personally would not give money. I would offer food, or to help them find a shelter, or purchase something of need, but as far as money goes, no I would not.

  12. I know several people who stand on the turn lane island..

they are on pensions collect welfare and make more money under the table than I do..

True beggers NO WAY free loaders..

  13. Yes to both

  14. I'd buy him a McDonald's cheeseburger.

  15. I've done both sometimes I'll give a few coins or sometimes I'll buy a burger... but nowadays, I just ignore them.

  16. No because I found out that they make $300-400 a weekend which is more than a busy waitress gets a day!

  17. they don't wan money for food or for you to give them food they want money for f**s and drugs

so no i wouldn't give money to a beggar on the street or but them something to eat :)

    me x

    hope i helped

  18. Well depends on the beggar, if they look like they could get a job and its the middle of summer, then no. If its the middle of January in toronto then yes.

  19. Sometimes it hard to tell if they are really beggar at all for some pretend to be just to get money. I just give them something to eat for if they are beggar and you giving them money, they will just buy food for them self.
