  1. Good question. The cravings for sweet and the cravings for salt are related. This is because of the need for the taste buds on the tongue to balance detections of taste. We naturally try to balance sweet with salt.

    Both sugar and salt are bad for your health, especially if you are diabetic. Sugar of course raises your blood sugar. But salt raises your blood pressure, which, like diabetes, can contribute to heart disease.


  2. after 3 months of eating a neutral flavored food plan, you don't have the cravings for sweet or salty any more and even a little sugar or salt in the foods tastes really huge!

    I do not believe sugar or salt is bad for an average person. Some people are very salt sensitive and it will raise their blood pressure. But this is only about 1 percent of the entire world population!!! Sugar is necessary for the proper functioning of the body. Sugar is in the form of any carbohydrate and is not necessarily the "sweet" taste.

    Moderation in all things and we would all live happier longer!!!
