  1. Sure. It actually helps you to "get going".

  2. Holy cow -- What are you people thinking? 70 degrees is cold!

If you are just playing around, anything under 80 degrees will feel "refreshing" -- some would say uncomfortably so. Ideal competition temp is in the 78-82 degree range -- colder than what people just splashing around would like.

I guess it depends on what you mean by "go swimming." If you mean hang out at the pool, I'd "go swimming" in 70 degree water only is if it's *really* hot outside . If "go swimming" means "work out" then I'd probably do it, but only if it the air temperature was warm. I have haunting memories of a pool heater going bad at our winter break training site: 70 degree water with an air temp in the 40s. Not pretty.

  3. 70 is actually a little warm if your talking about a competitive pool. It's absolutely freezing if your talking about a recreational pool.

Yes, I go swimming in pools as cold as 65 or lower for competitive swimming. I guess that's the temperature that creates the fastest water when mixed with the chemicals.

  4. yeah 70 degrees is sorta cold still

    but its not that bad

  5. ideal for competitive swimming is 79, so, y eah, 70 sounds great.

  6. yeh defffinatly

well even more if it was in winter

something about a warm pool always makes me happy

it just makes u feel gd cause u have soo much warmth around u

  7. 70 is cold, but manageable if you are ready for it. I swam laps when the heater was broken on the pool at the YMCA. I survived.

  8. yea! one day, my pool was 85d. lol it was SOOO warm! Awesome!

  9. If you want.It depemds on the weather outside of the pool also. Ex;if it is windy it is gooing to be very cold when you get out.
