LoL! Well, I am a 21 year old g*y male and I only recently came out and my parents didn't take it so well. Their Christians and yea, I have to go through all the typical arguments with them regarding how it's not ok with the religion and stuff. Oiy! Don't even want to think about it! Anyway, they have laid of pretty well lately just because we don't discuss it but today I was driving with both of them in the car and yea well this came on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAp9BKosZXs . I didn't hear them say anything and I just looked in the opposite direction. LoL! We listened to the whole thing. I bobbed my head a couple times

  1. The first time I heard that song when my mom was in the car and heard the line 'I kissed a girl' she said 'ew'. lesbians kissing'. So after that I listened to it on you tube and she said if I play that song I will be grounded. Funny I should say that because now I listen to it and she doesn't care. lol.

  2. I am a parent and listen to it with my 19 year old straight son. It is a catchy son. However since your parents are just getting used to the idea of you being g*y, out of respect to them I would not intentionally play it but if it just happens to come on the radio. Just act natural.

They will come around. Good for you that you opened that closet door.

  3. Yea i would i like that song who cares what my parents think about it.

  4. My Mom Likes That Song! So yeah! But for my dad, maybe not! Id be weird! LOL. Cool Question! :)

  5. my 9 year old sister always sings it (lol) and then my parents just stare and look away...................... aand my mom likes dancing to my humps by the blackeyed peas (lol shes like 40) .... weird mom i have............. i'm actually half christian/ jewish.. its a relly catchy song and i always heard random girls sing "i kissed a girl and i liked it" at school... its a catchy song but its plain weird

  6. lol my mom LOVESS the songg she sings it every timeee haha

  7. its a catchy song.

    so whocares :p lol

  8. I sang along to it with mother in the room, I'm not so sure about my father though I would listen to it but I wouldn't sing along. I am a very liberal person and I am personally not religious although I was brought up to be Catholic by my parents, I have opinions and views on things that are very different than those of parents but I expect for them to respect me as I respect them and their views and even if they don't I really don't care terribly.
