  8. I did live there for a couple of years and really loved it.

I enjoy going back from time to time to see the changes etc.

Wouldn't want to live there full time again though.

  9. Nope. Queensland is better.

  10. I lived there for 10 years and I loved it but then I moved back to Country WA, which I also love but for different reasons. If I were going to move back to Melbourne I would need a lot of money because it is an expensive city and I refuse to live in a box.

  11. Melbourne's been voted to be the World's most livable city in the world for a reason :-)!

I've lived in 3 different continents (Asia, Australia and Europe) and lived in Melbourne for 11 years and loving it (despite the weather sometimes being unpredictable, 4 seasons in one day).

    - It's safe

    - It's a cosmopolitan lifestyle(cute hidden alleys full of hidden bars and restaurants)

    - Great food and very multicultural (you can get affordable and good food ranging from sushis, to chinese to Greeks, Great Italians, middle eastern and south african steaks)

    - Good public transport (I love the trams)

    - The city where you can drive to Melbourne CBD

    - The shops are open on Sundays (unlike some European cities)

    - Great sporting culture - the home of Australian Open Tennis Tournament and F1 Grand Prix. Don't forget the Melbourne Cup Horse Racing where you can wear your best dress, sips champagnes in the morning, have fun with your mates and bet on horses in a beautiful roses filled course

    - Shopping is great too (Chapel St, Brunswick St, bourke St Mall, hidden obsecure independent designer in Little Collins st, the high end branded clothing in Collins St)

    - Melbourne also has one of the biggest casinos in Asia Pacific where everyone within the region come here to gamble their money away in CROWN CASINO

    - The state other than new south wales where you can ski (Mt Buller, Mt Hotham, Falls creek or cross country skiing at Lake Mountain) as well as Surf (Torquay /Bells Beach)

    - Melbourne has 3 million populations so it's a good balance of lots of people but not too much (not too quiet either)

    - We get all the west end shows, concerts and gigs visiting Melbourne too and you don't have to wait for 1 year and it's actually possible to get a ticket to Australian Open or Jay Z concert :-) unlike in London where every single music festivals you have to buy 1 year in advanced not to mention getting a ticket to watch wimbledon (forget it)!
