Would u need experience to be waiter at a fine dining restaurant ? If...

If I know food and wine enough to be a chef, have good ettique, good looking, passion for food, willing to learn, outgoing personality but no experience.. I Would just work as a cook but I need fast good money now. Would u hire me ? If not why is experience so important ?

  2. Definitely. Some ask for *years* of experience. I've seen places that aren't even "fine dining" ask for experience.

    Try going to craigslist and looking under "food/bev/hosp". Type "server" in the search box and see what kind of experience the posts want

  3. Being a waiter is very different and needs very different skills that being a chef.  Normally to get hired by a fine dining restaurant you'd need experience as a server.
