i would say yes but make sure it works and tell me where your getting it from. i have been looking for an M14.

honestly yeS.  THIS IS NOT THE BEST THERE IS  but it is a geat starting point,,,....

yes because its cheap, but no because it is limited.  I think you will quickly outgrow an air gun.  You could upgrade to a .22lr bolt action.  They are much more versatile, except you can shoot air rifles in your back yard if you wanted to.
