  1. yea i think i would

  2. It would depend on a few things.  What he did to be there in the first place.  If he was there for something nonviolent, i probably would.  if he raped a kid, no, I would never do it.

How old is the child?  A toddler,  or less, no, but an older child who is missing Dad, I might.  It depends on so much.  It would have to be an individual decision.

  3. There are a lot of factors to be considered:

Did he have a relationship with the child before his incarceration?

      What was he incarcerated for?

What type of prison is he in?

      How long is his sentence?

      How old is the child?

Does the child want to go and why (or why not)?

In general, I would say yes, I would take my child to see their father.  However, the information above would definitely factor in making the decision.  The most important factor would be his relationship with the kid prior to incarceration.  If he wasn't around I don't know that I would make regular visits a priority... maybe an occasional visit but not frequent ones.  The child's opinion matters... although the why is probably more important than what they say they want.

  4. No.

  5. i think it depends on the age of the child, the child's wishes, the reason he has been incarcerated and his demeanor around the children while incarcerated

  6. no

  7. i have. my middle daughter's father was incarcerated for six years. at first i was hesitant to take her because i heard the horror stories about how other inmates will kill the children to get back at an inmate over some wrong doing. it wasn't so bad. there are guards there and i stayed with her the entire time because i was nervous. it's up to you. good luck.
