Question:

Would u think differently about me?

I am the type of person who usually doesn't speak out. I'm a little shy and people always say I have a soft voice. However, today I was speaking my mind. There's a person I work with from another department who is creepy (and he has that reputation among our colleagues). This year, he has repeatedly barged in on my shifts to remind me of my duties. He just finds the need to tell me what I already know.

When I was talking about this today, I mentioned how it feels like he's insulting my abilities. Then I added quietly but with emphasis, "I don't go over and tell you how to do your job!" ("you" meaning him). One of the woman in the room was laughing to herself after I said that. Then it got quiet after that.

My colleagues have described me as being nice and sweet but after this, would u think differently?

  1. I would respect you for saying what you think.(standing up for yourself).   The woman in your office was probably laughing because you are a shy person with a soft voice and you finally spoke your mind.  She may have thought that you had enough and it was about time you said something.

    Is this guy a manager?

  2. no i would think "good for her speaking her mind" her meanin the person who asked the question

  3. sticking up for yourself is not mean, it is what you should do. i think that woman was laughing at him not you. maybe she thought you gave him what he needed. one incident like that isn't going to make your colleagues look at you differently. someone can be the nicest person in the world and stick up for themselves. Don't let people walk all over you! Sock it to em!

Be you for you, not for anyone else

  4. no

im sure they probably agree with you if this guy is as annoying as you say he is, i dont think they care. but if it is really eating you up inside ask the person your emotionally (as in friendly) closest to, if she got a bad impression

but i dont think they did,  but what ever their impression make sure you tell them that they shouldnt tell anyone because if it gets to him, feelings could be hurt

  5. No, i would still think you are the same. Sometimes people can't take it anymore. They get angry and blow up. It happens to everyone eventually. This does not change you personality.

  6. No and why don't you tell the jerk off.

  7. I would think that you had finally found your voice.
