  1. no. i'd watch them if only they wear uniforms like beach volleyball.

the sight of women dunking is ugly because they can hardly dunk. they couldn't slam the ball hard enough to make a statement

  2. I just watch when Candace Parker has a game...

  3. There is a little dunking in the WNBA, but I see your point.

I watch it, so it doesn't really change me whether or not they dunk regularly in games.  Even if the league had a lot of women who can dunk often and at will, it would probably be limited mostly to the centers and maybe a power forward here and there, so their dunks as bigs wouldn't be as flashy as the Wademill dunk we saw in the Olympic or LeBron's flying eagle every time he's on the break.

The real issue with the WNBA game's "deficiency" is the slower pace of their game, though the women's game is faster than it was before the WNBA started.  Given that there is a premiere women's pro league out there now for 12 years and counting, the WNBA product is only going to get better.

  4. Currently i'm watching it. So it won't make a difference for me. These WNBA players are also athletes and can play the game. Maybe not much dunking as men's basketball have. But they do play good.

  5. no. i'd rather watch a paint dry

  6. if they have more players like Candace Parker then i'd consider it.

  7. What up adoresko,

In some ways your question is implying that people don't watch the WNBA because they don't have dunking.

For the most part i think some NBA fans do not watch the WNBA because it's a slower game.  If there was more dunking it would probably mean faster ball movement- more athletic girls - girls who could actually leap up that high and a game that is played more above the rim- so that would change the WNBA product.

For myself- i catch a game every now and again- especially Candace Parker and the L.A. Sparks but i must admit that it's tough to watch the WNBA sometimes.

i think the WNBA is on a right course.  It's great to see the league develop more- and perhaps more and more young ladies will grow up with hoop dreams- the better the players the more that will change the league... but i don't not watch at times because they can't dunk.

  8. I watch it anyway.

  9. I am a huge girls basketball fan. And it's not really the dunking people are looking for. Guys don't play fundamental basketball, and the don't play defense. Even if there was dunking the ratings won't be to much higher

  10. It would be like watching Kwame Brown practice.
