  1. depends on the person's body temperature at the time he/she is drinking the water.

  2. For drinking, it would feel warm. For swimming or bathing, it would probably feel cold.

My apologies to anyone put off by my saying 82 would feel cold for swimming. I live in south Florida, and our summer surf temps are generally higher than 82. It feels cold to me when I swim.

  3. Just your normal pool temperature (heated). At the Ymca the pool is 82 degrees f on average.

  4. Ya, it would probably be "warm"

think about it this way, room temperature is about 72F

    body temperature is about 98F

water boils at 100C freezes at 0C

the conversion factors between C and F is goes something like 5/7 XF+32 to convert from C to F

    and check this out

    "  Temperatures of water:

Water boils at 212°F (sea level), and simmers at 190°F.

Tepid Water - 85 to 105°F. The water is comparable to the temperature of the human body.

Warm Water - 115 to 120°F. The water is touchable but not hot.

Hot Water - 130 to 135°F. The water is too hot to touch without injury.

Poach - 160 to 180°F. The water is beginning to move, to shiver.

Simmer - 185 to 200°F. There is movement, and little bubbles appear in the water.

Slow boil - 205°F. There is more movement and noticeably larger bubbles.

Real boil - 212°F. The water is rolling, vigorously bubbling, and steaming. "

basically water at 82F is warm

  5. 82 degree water is NOT cold. It's PERFECT for swimming.

  6. it's less than body temperature,so depending on the heat of the day,it's hot or cold,on a cold winter day you wouldn't want to soak in it long,in summer it might be too hot...........tom

  7. I live in FLorida also, 82 is cold water.

If the weather is 95 outside and the water is about 90, it feels perfect.  When its 80 degrees outside and the water is 75 is freezing!

As for jacuzzi, i like it at 104 F

Please guys believe us that in FLorida we like warm weather and 82 feels cold to us, just as to an eskimo they might think 75 is appropriate bathwater!
