Would women still want the exact same rights as men during the sinking of Titanic?

Women always claim to want to be treated the same as men. But what about during the Titanic sinking? During the sinking of Titanic men had the right to die like a "man" on the ship. While women got to get on rescue boats and make it to safety.

  1. No problem, everyone in third class was treated the same. They were all locked in, and perished. Remember it was a man who designed a ship that was "unsinkable" and men decided that they didn't need that many lifeboats.

  2. It was called "etiquette." Look it up sometime.

  3. Different time my friend.

  4. Survival instinct.

It might be hypocritical, but very few people are concerned with their principles in a life or death situation like that.

  5. lets see going back in time...

if women had the same rights as men and had to go die "like a man"

then who the f would actually go off the ship...the children

who probably can't row and get to safety lmao?

I think women waited for the right time to have the same rights as men !

    THEYRE SMART LIKE THAT...WELLP!

and btw are you implying that children shouldnt have the same rights either then?

  6. Isn't it still the rule of women and children first?  Besides the titanic wont happen these days because it is required by law to have enough lifeboats for the compliment of the ship.  Ships these days also will not sink as fast as the titanic did.  didn't you see the video of the cruise liner that was on fire.  It managed to stay afloat and make into a harbor.

  7. It's called a double standard.

They want to be put on a pedstal and worshiped.

They also want to come and make the same money as men in the workplace.

But then they also want to be able to take 9 months off paid so they can have a baby....

Or take off from work anytime their kid is sick.

    It's just a double standard.

In reality they don't want it. They just need to complain.

  8. WOMEN AND CHILDREN ALWAYS GO FIRST. IF YOU ARE A MAN YOU KNOW THAT IS HOW IT IS SUPPOSE TO BE.

  9. that privilege really has nothing to do with equal rights. remember it wasn't just women who got on first, it was also children. it's the fact that the women are the child bearers and mothers. it was their place then to be the nurturers and I think the situation would be the same today.

  10. dude get a life first of all you're not saudi arabian

second dont be mad at the world cuz u cant get some

  11. dude you stupied.

your asking all these questions about saudi arabia.

and there not the most polite questions ever,

i bet your just asking them to make saudis look bad.

and most of what your asking i bet you already know.

  12. I would of. I hate double standards. That's why I don't like chivalry. I don't act like I want things to be equal just when it's convenient for me, and then switch around when it isn't convenient anymore.

If I'd been on the titanic, I would of taken a seat if I could of gotten one, but I wouldn't of taken one from someone else. A guy shouldn't have to give up a seat on a boat for me.

  13. VERY good question ///probably not //

  14. dude. women shuld be treated the same as men, they shuld even be treated better cuz the women are da one that have to suffer cuz da men are da druggies, beaters, n da women have to suffer thru periods, pregnancy! during the sinkin of titanic, the women had da rites to make it to safety cuz they have to take care of da children.

  15. yo sup

well, this is interesting.well at that point of time a decision had to be made.but it was the men that agreed  they would sacrifice themselves but of course its not right for the women to just rely on men for everything.

anyways unlike radical saudi women, most decent women are not like that they would rather work and get $2000+ in burger king rather than get plenty of $$ and be treated like a slave.remember not all women are like saudi radicals material does not meet all requirements.

    peace out!@

EDIT:"I know i'm crazy" got a real good answer, thats a perfect example ladies should follow

  16. .....it should not be the basis for the equal rights for men and women......In the Titanic movie, its a decision made by Jack (Leonardo di Caprio) alone and nothing to do with the society's treatment towards men and women.....lolz.....Jack love her (kate Winslet) very much and sacrificed his own life for her......did you get the point? It doesn't mean you have to do what Jack did.....lolz
