Would wood glue work to glue carpet to wood for a kitten playhouse

  Silicone caulk works well.. It s what is used to glue all carpet to boards for showing in my store  GL

It might work. You can also try some rubber cement or some E-6000.

I'd roll the carpet over the edge of the wood and staple it from the bottom. Glue won't work very well if kitty decides to scratch and pulls a corner up, and kitty could also get a claw stuck in any staple on the top of the wood.

why glue it at all?? just staple it to the wood all the way round the edge, or use tacks.
