Would writing about somebody famous from france be an example of french culture?

I doubt it, it would be stereotyping, you can't judge them all by one person, even if they are famous. I mean you write about Britney Spears, is she an example of American culture? You can't think everyone in USA likes her music and listens to pop all the time. There's still loads of others out there! You have to write about everyone as a whole. The best thing to do is to write about the culture itself instead of somebody famous.
