  1. It might be simpler to just restore the pre-Bush era taxes on the wealthiest Americans. Somehow, watching the debt rise while their taxes go down has seemed less than equitable.

  2. We are so deep in debt that a huge tax hike and massive spending cuts are inevitable.

But nobody in Government wants to tell us the truth.

So they pretend it's not real and keep burning up the nation's credit card.

They keep calling for "fiscal responsibility" but refuse to actually DO it.

They try to pass "balanced budgets" but keep breaking their promises.

And they keep promising us more and more and more, without asking us to sacrifice.

Life on credit eventually comes crashing down.  And in the end, nobody wins.

  3. haha. That's funny. I'll get my checkbook out right now. Oh yeah, I can't. After filling up my gas tank, paying off my health bills, filling the fridge with more expensive food and losing my job to India, paying my overpriced property and school taxes, I just don't have any more money in my bank account.

  4. Not if it means cutting my welfare check.

    Or my social security check.

    Or my section 8 financing.

    Or my Pell grants

    Or my food stamps

Or my tax deduction for home mortgage interest

    Or my low tax rates

But them politicians waste too much money on pork barrel spending.
