Would you agree that Ireland is a wonderful place, Where the women are beautiful oh so beautiful and the grass

so green? Where the streams are so clear with the water tasting so good. Where the black beer is like pure cream and the women, (Did I mention the women?) are so soft and warm? Where the wind blowing on your face is like the kiss of an angel and the fresh scones and butter melt in your mouth? Where if you ask a local directions he will lean on his stick and say,"It's a little bit of a long way" And if you are looking for a bed for the night the house owner will give up her own bed so that you will be warm and cosy?

Is it really like this?

  1. Not in the cities

  2. Yes!

  3. I've never been to Ireland but I intend to remedy that soon, I've seen pictures of it on the telly and in books and the like, and I'm sure the grass was indeed green. as for the rest I'm sure it's all true, I'll let youse know when I get back.

  4. You are full of the charm today and your question made me smile.  Well I guess we have a certain beauty as are down to earth and friendly, the grass is definitely green.  Are lots of little streams and lakes as you drive through the mountains out to Connemara  and a pub lunch with a smooth glass of Guinness is indeed wondeful and if you mix a guinness with champagne you have a Black Velvet, delicious as a treat.

Plently of wind here so no shortage of that.

The bed bit think you getting a little carried away with yourself, no you'd have to pay for the b&b and is gone kinda expensive here to live now, shocking.

The best part of Ireland is if you travel out the West coast and can take a ferry over to the Aran Island where they still talk Gaelic and life is pretty much the same as it was in old times or drive through Connemara,  and can stop on the Quiet Man bridge,  or the village where the movie was made with Johh Wayne which is at Ashford Castle.  You can walk in the grounds and is truly lovely, the forest etc, many famous people have stayed there so us normal folk can not go into the castle unless a paying guest.

The best part if you travelling in Ireland is the Irish traditional music and a few guinness and the conversation is flowing and the crack is good.  Hope that helps, Slainte a Chara.

Agree with the guy above as miss the parks and musems and so much to do in London soo much, is lovely here but missing London.

  5. Yes it is like that, i have been to the west part (mayo) hiking and i also once went to a wedding in the north (donegal).  I must say both times i went the people were so nice and charming.  The best thing about going there are the pubs, really are great fun with music and dancing, we don't get much of that craic around the south of england everyone here is so rude and miserable.

  6. oh Ireland is very beautiful!

I was in Ireland for 1 months in the 2005. The people are simpatisch and wonderful.

Dublin is very big and the boys are ....good ....

    Hallo Ireland

    I love Ireland!!

  7. I visited Ireland for about 2 weeks, 8 years ago, and yes, it was very nice.

The countryside is beautiful, and also don't forget about Dublin -- very cool city.

  8. Well I live in northern Ireland.

But the country is indeed how you described (:

    except the ..

''Where the wind blowing on your face is like the kiss of an angel ''

...bit. THE wind is wet and cold! along with the rest of the weather here...

  9. Yes.

    Yes it is.

    I've never been.

    But yes it is.

  10. I can confirm the grass is, indeed, green

  11. To be sure it is! Begorra!

  12. No, I totally disagree. The women are average, it rains and it's always 2 or 3 degrees colder than glorious England. It's so sodding expensive in the republic and Dublin is a pigging nightmare dump. Are you employed by Irish Tourist Board ? Oh, also you're in the wrong bogging section so BOG off you bog hopper.
