he had a chance tonight from a set shot in the last quarter to put his team within 4 points which he missed, then $h!t himself in a bit of play just after, and finally was terrible using his body when a goal was a real oportunity.this is just one game but personally i think the saints would be better off trading him -your thoughts.

  1. No. Not really.

He fancies himself as a cricketer as well. In a recent interview he stated that he was going to England, to play county cricket, when he retired from AFL. But there is many minor grades in English county cricket so he will probably get a game.

Don't  know when that will be though.

  2. The thing is with Milney.. he was GREAT in the first season or 2 he played for StKilda, because he had the ability to move in the right spot and snap for goals... His only downsides than were that he was selfish (wouldn't handball, took stupid shots etc) and he wasn't defensive enough.

Than, small defenders worked out how to stop him (particularly Jared Crouch of Sydney) and so his output declined.

Milne at one stage was close to either being traded or being dropped from the Saints, but was given another chance under Ross Lyon. He did respond to this.. he handballs a little more and tackles more often as well.. and has also been tried in more running roles.

But he is far too inconsistent.. and is able to be stopped a little too easily. He still does add *a little* value to the Saints' forward line though and is kept in the seniors for that reason.

So, I think StKilda may well use him as trade bait, but other clubs will not be interested... instead they will opt for quicker, younger and more talented players. The forward pocket role seems to have been taken over by aboriginal players (which is great, don't get me wrong) such as Cyril Rioli, Aaron & Alwyn Davey, Austin Wonaeamirri, Eddie Betts etc.

AFL clubs will look for players with these qualities to fill the role that Milne does at StKilda and for that reason Milne won't attract any good deals.

  3. He's very hot and cold forky, the game b4 he won the game against us, when he kicked 7 the little ferret face.

The trouble with 'Ita' is his bad games far out weigh his good games, you'll get 2 good games a year out of him then he holds his spot for weeks on that game, I'd turf him for sure, too inconsistent for my liking, had to play his best for the year against the tigers, the mongrel.

I'm watching the blues mate, they aren't showing much fight at present, up to half time, they might come out like geelong after half time, can't see it but you never know. wce 15 in front of the roo's at half time too, priddis is back, he'll make a difference.

  6. Yeah your right Forky hes not doin wat hes paid to do and its been like that all season (bar one game)..

I've been watchen him cos I had him in my fantasy team and He wasnt bringen the goods so I ditched him...

Yeah saints should be looking at doin the same thing!

  7. yes he is trade bait

    but who would want him

  8. send him to freo to join the other has beens

  9. Has he got much time left?

How old is he. He was voted by the Footy Show panel of players a couple of seasons ago as being the person with the biggest head & most tickets on himself in the whol;e league.

He may have changed but clubs don't go out of their way chasing that type of player.

  10. Couldnt agree less!
