Do you believe that a mouse's intellect is closer to a human's intellect, or that a human's intellect is closer to God's intellect? Assuming you choose the mouse...if a mouse can't comprehend the nature of the space shuttle(for sake of argument as man's greatest creation), how can we comprehend the nature of the Universe? This is a loose explanation of why I don't believe in any specifics that religions preach. In fact, I believe organized religions to be the height of arrogance. People saying that they understand the thoughts, purpose, workings and mind of God is to me, the ultimate in heresy.

  1. In order for god to have an intellect, he has to first exist.

  2. The universe is a great creation, but whose to say that it is the greatest of the creation?

  3. Not the intellect, but mankind itself is the greatest creation of God. The universe will pass away, but the spirit, soul, and body of man will last for eternity. One is finite, the other infinite.

"I believe organized religions to be the height of arrogance" - You are entitled to your opinion. I believe truth can be discerned from scripture and the writings of learned men over the ages.

  4. So we mere mortals cannot possibly understand the mind of god - So where did you get that information?

  5. No, i believe that god is the smallest creation of the Universe.

A f**t is closer in intellect to god, since both lack one.

  6. More like the concept of organized religion and God is one of the universe's more interesting creations.
