Would you ask for a raise, when you are told company is not making money?

My boss, I am the only employee keeps telling me customers are not paying. If they weren't , she would not keep me. I am in telemarketing.

I do not beleieve it, but is that my fault. I need money

  1. If you're not earning enough to meet your expenses, look for another job.  I would ask for a raise when I got another offer.  Then you have nothing to lose.  if your boss says yes, well and good 9if you want to stay) - if the boss says no, accept the other job, and give you boss notice.


  2. ha! same thing happened to me! Makes me angry because the economy is not my fault and I keep doing my job! I am an asset to the company!

    I kept at him and should be getting one soon (its been over a year!)
