Lets say you loved in a town of 1000 people and your city leaders decided to raise sales tax to make payments on 5 windmills. This would provide free electricity to the community plus they would be able to sell off the extra to surrounding communitys. The money your town would make off the extra would go into mantainence of the wind mills and any extra ontop of that would go back into the cities budget. What do you think. Remember that the town would be making payments so the raise in sales tax would be a small percentage.

  1. No, it seems like any government agency has a level of inefficiency which means that the service coming out is worth a lot less than the money going in.

  2. Yes, I would be.  I'd actuly be happy because of it.  It would create green energy, and numerous jobs, and would help pay for the town's expense's.

  3. Detroit does this with water and they are very inefficient at it and the part they sell to other communities is incredibly high (for Michigan)

  4. Interesting Idea, i believe something like that exists now, especially in cities close to the sea shore. Although i don't think is managed locally, i think it is managed by the states instead.
