If they hadn't celebrated your 10th, 12th, and 13th birthday? Because my parents, did just that. And this Saturday, I'll be 14. And woop dee doo. Do you think they've even done anything? No. My 10th, I understand, I mean, there was a hurricane that whole 2 weeks (Charley Frances Ivan Jeanne) but my 12th and 13th? No excuses. Oh wait, unless if you consider "We're too busy." or "We've got work" as an excuse. And no, I'm not being selfish, because my parents? They don't work much. I'm serious. So what've I been doing for the past two birthdays? Oh nothing. Sat at home/school and did something boring and alone. So I confronted my parents, asking them why they haven't done a thing and they're like "Ohh, we were planning to like you to the movies with some friends." Well I thought after two years, I'd take whatever I'd get. Guess what? Tomorrow they've scheduled some surgery for my grandmother (shes getting some scar removed... not a big thing). Yeah, TOMORROW. As in the day before my birthday. And hey, guess who's on demand for the next week? My parents. So would you be dissapointed in them? Because I am. Severly. They raise my hopes, as usual, and then shove them down my throat all over again. What would you do?
