the Georgian port?

Nothing Russia does would surprise me anymore, they surely are itching for a fight...primal needs run deep in the KGB driven powers of Russia!

  1. You're nuts if you even remotely think that something like that might happen.

  2. Yes it would surprise me, although the Russian Navy is large their ships are mainly older with some weapons systems which are obsolete. Plus their ASW capabilities are minimal now, I believe their Towed array equipment is suspect to say the least. If for some reason the Russian Navy tried to attack a US or British vessel in Georgia they would be in for a rude awakening. I don't believe there are any Russian Commanding Officers that really want to commit suicide.

  3. Yes I would be very suprised.  If Russia attacked an US Naval Vessel carrying humanitarian relief supplies they would be opening themselves up to a world of hurt.  If they sank one of our vessels, I am sure the USA would consider that an act of war towards the USA and her allies.  Best of luck Russia, cause you won't have just one ship there anymore you'll have battle groups heading your direction looking to extract some revenge for their fallen brothers.

  4. The first Navy warship with relief supplies did not dock at Poti, where the Russians are. It was sent south to the port of Batumi which is closer to the Turkish border. BTW, the Russians have a deep-seated ethnic fear of fighting Turks.
