Would you be better off using a short board or a long board surfing a reef break in the Cook Islands?

  1. By better off, do you mean safer? Cause you might be "safer" on  alongboard, but a shortboard will more likely perform better. However, you have to take into account the size and shape of the wave as well. If it's less than, say 4 feet, and not barreling, go with the longboard. If it's more than that or if it's barreling, go with the shortboard. Also, look at the shape of the board. If it's a traditional longboard, then I stand by my word. But if it's something wierd, like maybe a longboard/gun hybrid that can go fast enough, take that baby for a cruise.

I like risk and i like speed and sharp cuts and deep funnels so no matter what I would be on my short board made by lost but it still depends on what you like if you like speed, adrenaline, danger,big sharks,and hot girls go short ,If you like grandma, eating jello and getting a farmers tan than you can get out your floaties and ride a long board.......Its all up to you Dude.

  3. Long board as you will not have to worry about shark attacks.  Short boards make you look exactly like a seal to a shark.  So they think mmmmm lunch and you get eaten.
