Would you be excited if McCain offered Ron Paul the Secretary of Treasury position?

why or why not? How much impact would it have on the election if McCain pre-annoinced it?

If Ron Paul said he'd accept, I'd vote for the ticket.  If he didn't, I'd assume McCain didn't intend to give him any real power.

I think it would be a bad move to announce it before the election. I like Ron Paul but too many people think he is a nut job, it would cost him votes.

i would be excited. but it is extremely unlikely as mccain is very liberal for a republican.  when ron paul asked mccain about the presidents working group on financial markets mccain had no idea what he was talking about and just starting naming people off and didnt answer the question.  so i dont really think he has a good understanding of economics and wouldnt make such a good choice.

Surprisingly, I truly would.  There are many things that I like about Dr. Paul and it's too bad that so many nutjobs ended up ruining it for him.  Hate to say this, but if McCain made such an announcement in advance, it would probably harm him.  But I'd love it if he were placed into an important position.
