If you became accustom to being turned down repeatedly; not because of your abilities or competence, but because of your creed, religion, past, etc.. Would you lie in order to receive an opportunity, or be honest knowing that the truth will be held against you?

  1. I would neither deny nor declare. There is always something in the middle.

  2. I would be honest. I feel unfomfortable when I lie.

  3. tell the truth. if u lie people might end up getting hurt and that is where all the complications come in.

  4. i say tell the truth becaus the truth will come out eventually and better sooner than later.

  5. The truth shall set you free.

  6. If you lie......it will surely come back to haunt you.  May as well tell the truth and be done with it......so, i would tell the truth.

  7. I would be honest about who I am, b/c of people can not accept you for who you really are, then in the end, you'll just end up unhappy.  Plus they'll get to miss out on really getting to know you, and for all you know, your assumptions may just be that:  assumptions.  Give truth a chance, before jumping to the conclusion that you will be judged for your beliefs.

  8. I don't think I would lie; however, you don't always need to tell everyone all the details of your life. In fact, in the case of jobs, you are not required to tell certain things, and employers are not allowed to ask.

The truth will come out eventually, so it's much better to omit than to lie. Then you've technically done no wrong. Of course, there is debate about whether omitting is a form of lying... I think if someone directly asks you and you beat around the bush, you could possibly be held accountable for lying. But if you're not asked so you don't tell... nothing wrong with that.

We're all entitled to a little privacy, you know? If your little "secret" is not harmful to others, why do they need to know?

  9. assuming no one is harmed, yes, once the truth is known ideally I would have proven myself better than whatever their preconcieved notions would have been if I had been upfront.

  10. If I couldn't earn the opportunity honestly, I wouldn't want it.
