Just doing some research for our training school. At the moment we just do the normal CBT, A1, A2, DAS courses now but want to expand the business.

We are in the progress of setting up advanced courses which most schools offer nowadays anyway.

I just wanted your views on what you think if your training school offered training on particular styled bikes (i.e. Supersports, cruisers, tourers, etc). We are also looking at starting to offer bike touring holidays as well.

What would be your views on these? What would you be expecting?

  1. I suspect that there is a need for training for shorter riders.  I know this isn't a direct answer to your question, but it is a suggestion for a way to increase business.

Too many bikes assume a long inside-leg measurement.  There are many people who have problems with bikes because they are short.  This means that potential riders are put off certain bikes or riding altogether.  I manage by being strong, and having acquired skills over decades - but not without some slow/stationary falls.
