Question:

Would you be mad if this happened to you ?

Well this isn't really about Beauty & Style, it's about teeth so it's kinda similar, lol :

Imagine you had to have braces for three and a bit years, and then you moved so your braces got removed.. and your teeth weren't straight at ALL (deep bite and cross bite, which basically means bad news!), your teeth being just a little bit nicer than before having braces.

Then you go to another orthodontist (in your new town) and he/she tells you that you will need braces for another two years.

This is what's happening to me ;(

I was just wondering if you thought that it was unreasonable for me to be upset, and if you have had similar problems and how long did you keep your braces ?

Thanks so much!

  1. Holy cow ya i would be mad! You should get your money back because braces arent cheap, and that was a waste of time, and pain for you always getting them tightened and running over to the ortho!

Ive had mine on for a year and mine seem really good i hope that doesnt happen to me! I feel really bad for you!

  2. you a totally right for being mad.. if that was me- oh my gosh!. im like 14 right now and i need braces too! but imagine if i was you.. im 14 right now and if i had braces for 3 years i would be 17 when they took them off. SEVENTEEN! and then to get them again when i was 19!? Gosh no! i would say just s***w it, ill have bad teeth for the rest of my like i guess.... so sorry about what happened to you! good luck in whatever happens

  3. are you kidding?

you have every right to be upset.

i was upset because after i get my braces off, i'll have had them for 2 1/2 years.

    cry/scream/talk it out.

that's the only thing that will make you feel a little better.

  4. I agree with *kiss me* all the way.

  5. No, it is not unreasonable to be upset - I would be too.  It seems like a lot of time wasted for just a little improvement; and now you have to start from almost square 1 again.

No, I never had braces; but I have a son who will be getting braces in about a month.

  6. i am sooo sorry i truly feel bad for you  and it might not take 2 more years your teeth might move quickly =)

  7. of course i'd be annoyed!

first, at the first orthodontist for not fixing the problem and at the fact that you have to wear braces for another two years!

just think of your teeth afterwards though! :)

    do mine?

  8. yeah I would be mad!

  9. That's mean!!!

  10. You should sue hun. Do you know how much money your braces cost your parents? About $5,000. You need those braces put back on, or else your parents have the legal right to sue because they completely wasted the money, and the ends result that was guaranteed wasn't there. Good luck, have fun, and stay beautiful ♥

  11. well, i guess it depends on weather or not you want straight teeth

  12. I never had braces but I have heard they are really uncomftorable. you have every right to be upset but think about this,  you will be happy  when you are a grown up and do not have crooked teeth and look like a hobo without dental insurance. :)

                 Sorry for your troubles,

                        Lilo

  13. that sucks so bad. i had my braces for 2 year 8 months. i hated every minute of it but it was all worth it in the end. if i were you i would sue. i would be so pissed and u have a reason to be mad. good luck and hope your teeth get suuper straight!!!!

    : D

  14. ouch I'm so sorry this is happening i mean once again ouch!!

  15. Yeah i would be so upset! That's so stupid that you have to have them another 2 years. I've had my braces for about a year, but mone are ok. although, my friend has had them for like 4 years and every time she goes to the ortho he says they'll be off soon but it always ends up being another year or 2. but you never you're teeth might move quickly.

  16. i would definatley be mad if i were you, however what did the dentist tell you would be the outcome?  my son has braces now and they did tell us they would not be perfectly straight.  it would really depend on what they told you the outcome would be as to what you can do?

  17. wooooah !

yesss i'd be real angry and sad !

    well goodluck :) x

  18. Oh my goodness! I got my braces off after 2 years, then I stopped wearing my retainer, now I'm right back where I was to begin with!

I would complain, and if they don't do anything ,threaten to sue!

  19. do not get me started on braces

i have had mine for FOUR YEARS and had to have FOUR TEETH removed. when i went to my appointment this week i was told they were being taken oof next time and i have HUGE GAPS at the side of my mouth you can see them when i smile or talk.

    no its not unreasonable

  20. oh my gosh! lucky duck!! i just adore my braces and i nearly cried myself to sleep when the ortho told me i need to get them off. i was just so sad. i wish i could keep them on as long as i live! and longer!
