..just in case you lost it. I think it is a very simple measure to ensure people receive their winnings. Millions go unclaimed each year!

  1. Good idea, as long as they filled it in after buying the ticket away from the till so that they dont hold up the queue

  2. Please god no.

I get annoyed enough at having to queue behind the mathematically-challenged lottery-ticket buyers at petrol stations or supermarkets *without* having to endure them scrawling details on the back as well...

  3. No.  It would mean impossible queues at peak times.  Faced with a queue, I would walk away. If I was worried about it, I would register to play on-line so my details would always be known.

  4. Name and address seem a bit long-winded.  Something simple like the house number and post code would be an idea though.

  5. If you are so stupid that you lose your lottery ticket, then you don't deserve to win.

That unclaimed money either gets rolled into someone else's prize, or donated to the charitable good causes, so it is not wasted.

Think about what you are asking.  Do you really want to stand in line behind someone at the grocery store or gas station while they fill out their address and name on a form just when the are buying a lottery ticket?  I don't.

Anyway, it's never going to change.  If you lose it, tough.

  6. Do it online, then they E-mail you when you have won and pay the winnings straight into your account

  7. bad idea, if anyone is stupid enough to lose it then they don't deserve to win a prize
