taxes are not covering the war....we are borrowing money ..running a deficit. So saying that taxes are already being taken to pay for them is a fallacy.

  1. h**l no but the government takes our money to fund war without asking us anyway

  2. no 50 bucks can buy dinners to put on the tabel no way that is stupid!!!!

  3. In my opinion, the whole reason they print and borrow money for the war, is because if they raised taxes to cover it, the people would revolt and demand an end to it.  They'd never get away with it.  By "charging" it, the people don't feel the cost immediately and thus, don't seem to care too much.  Credit, it's the American way, I'm afraid.

Our kids and grand kids are the ones who will bare the brunt of our unsupportable and irresponsible debt.

  4. Hahaha h**l no.

  5. No.  But, I would be willing to have $50 deducted from my paycheck to buy George W. out of the last 6 months of his term.

  6. thats a nice thing to do

  7. yes.

if there are 300 million people in US willing to pay this, in one week that's 15billion, in 1 year that's 780billion.

    it adds up

now what do we get.......... i say that taxes get cut for starters or more to the point that we no longer pay income tax at all.

just think of it, if there wasn't a war we could take that money and pay off the debt, build a better school system, rebuild the American infrastructure, fund a program to help the fight on cancer, etc........

  8. no.

    anti-war.

also i dont have a job.

  9. No, I would be willing to have $50 taken out of my checks for some free healthcare. If it doesn't involve that, they can give me my $50 I worked so hard for.

Anyways, they get a big chunk out of my checks already by taking out the taxes.

  10. give bush money to ruin a country of people that did nothing to us? i dont freakin think so

  11. I would like $50 ADDED if you don't mind!!

  12. No I wouldn't. They already have my son, I think I've given enough.

  13. no, end of story.

  14. Yes

  15. no

  16. yes.  i would happily pay 500 bucks a month towards these wars.  Saddam and Osama both deserve to die along with their armies.

We should also bomb Iran, Kuwait, Saudi and Israel to remove the terrorists and al qaeda.

  17. In reality its much much more than $50, but no... I wouldn't.

  18. the goverment already gets more than that it's not my fault they waste it on welfare,

  19. I live in America and don't have to pay taxes, taxes are just for the evil rich.

  20. Fantastic question!  Where are the chickenhawks when you need them.

Anyone reading the financial press realizes we borrowed the money to fund both wars.  I will be the first to criticize Iraq as a fool's mission, sold to the American people by liars and incompetents.

Afghanistan is another matter.  Al Queda is a bad group of people who have wished us harm.  I have no reason not to believe them; we need to fund the effort.

And, regardless of what you think of Bush, we sat on our hands while he invaded Iraq to avenge Daddy.  Our elected representatives bound us to pay back the borrow and spend policy that funded the war.  The money is gone. The money was wasted.  Bush spent the money.  Now, we have to pay it back: either us or our children.

Florida, next time pay attention.  Greens, you are responsible for Nader and his ego giving us this mess.  Next time understand the issues.

  21. No but i would donate for peace!

  22. that would be a nice thing to do, but 50 from each paycheck is a little too much

  23. I already do, and I have much more taken out to pay for entitlement programs

  24. no, not because I'm anti war or pro war, because i have enough $$ taken out of each and every paycheck.

  25. I already have money deducted out of my paycheck to support the wars, it's called TAXES.

  26. And how do you think we paid for all of our other wars? We didn't finish paying the bills for ww2 until the mid 60s.

  27. NO, thats my gas money fool!
