  1. I havent payed for gas in a very long time

    Not car to drive

Yes i would do that but many cant to that, that have to go to work on a daily bases.

So in real terms it cant be done unless over half of the working population went on strick.

  2. NO, it would be a waste of time. By understanding some basic economic principles, you will see that this idea would be useless. One week of a few people not buying gas won't hurt the oil companies at all. The industry is too big to be impacted by small numbers. In a hypothetical situation lets say you were successful in convincing everyone in the U.S. to stop using gas for one week. This would impact the oil companies, but would not lead to your desired outcome. You see oil companies set prices according to the price that they pay. They are in business to make money like any other industry so if they lowered their prices, they start loosing money and would have no incentive to stay in business. This would cause them to exit the industry and cause a drastic change in our way of life. Who knows what a sudden stop in oil production might do. Changing over to alternative fuels takes time.

I agree that oil prices are outrages. To decrease prices of fuel the oil companies need to stop buying from suppliers like the middle east. The companies that control the market for crude oils set high prices because they can. If the U.S. stops buying from them, they will loose a lot of money and will have an incentive to lower prices to get their big purchaser to start buying oil from them again. The question becomes where do U.S. oil companies get oil if its not from the middle east? How about the national reserves?

  3. That's what I have been saying for some time now, if we boycott one oil company for 1 month, it will work because they will have to lower there prices to make room for the inventory coming in,Lets say company A is selling gas and company B is not, then company B will lower there price to beat company A price, then there are price wars between company A and B... Lets just say we try for June 1st for the boycott.

  4. real

  5. Yes I would if Icould but I have no car nor do I have A License I'm 14

  6. LOL  RYAN  MUST BE A HOLLIER THAN THOU AMERICAN .....TAKE A LOOK AROUND YOU BUDDY...... WE DON'T BUY GAS FROM THE USA DILL WEED WE SELL IT TO YOU.... AND BY THE WAY I'M SURE FROM YOUR ANSWER THAT THIS NEXT ONE WILL BE NEWS TO YOU TO WE DO NOT LIVE IN IGLOOS

  7. If it would work, yes. But in order for that to happen, the entire US, would need to stop buying gas, for longer than a week. The oil companies know we need it. If we stopped buying it, they would sell it to someone else, like those stinky Canadians....

Plus, how many people could  actually go a week without using any gasoline? Less than 3% of the population probably...
