Would you be worried? If you had a less than 1 in 100,000 chance of down sydrome but nasal bone not detected..

on ultrasound. No other markers. Didn't have amnio. I am 6 mths pg and still worry that something is wrong.

  1. Its normal to vvorry but i'd say you have nothing to vvorry about. Just try to relax and not think about it, stressing over it vvont change anything.


  2. I would worry about them not being able to detect a nasal bone whether down syndrome or not. But, as long as your baby is doing well in the womb I wouldn't be concerned. I would definitely want the doctor to do all the ultrasound scans he could to figure out the cause, and look for others in a similar situation. Good luck, and I hope everything turns out okay.

I am assuming that your Quad Screen came back with a higher % chance of the baby having downs.  That's why they did a level 2 U/S.   If so, that's exactly the same as what I went through.  I had the same % after the U/S was done and I refused an amnio as well.  My daughter is now a month old.. and she is perfectly fine.  Not saying that I didn't stress over it for a few weeks afterwords, but eventually I stoped stressing.  Stress is not good for you and the baby.
