It makes no sense for them to keep produceing combustion engines when the whole world agrees they cause a global problem. It makes no sense to keep burning up our atmospere when we can use all alternative forms of energy that don't harm the environment. In stead they make more combustion engienes or expect us to buy hybrids that don't really get good gas millage and unrealistic hydrogen viehicals when there are many ways of producing non-combustion eingines, but the people with the means don't care to change there habits. I think we all should boycott car companies until they get the point what are you thoughts on this?

  1. I can't believe the stupid ideas that people on this site keep coming up with. Do you even think these things out?

  2. Companies produces what ever their customers buys. Their task is to be profitable. And without profit, they can't develop more environmental friendly products either.

It's up to our governments to create long term guidelines, incentives and regulations to steer their productions towards better alternatives. It's also up to us as customers to support the "right" products and companies with the aim to go in the right direction.

  3. We will be there soon enough. The fuel is so high that truck drivers are going on a strike. This May cause us great harm and u are part of it. The GW scam has helped the oil Co. make billions. Good job.

  4. Do you have a cheaper more reliable alternative to the combustion engine?  Until you do, I'm happy with mine.

  5. so you would want to kill perhaps the largest industry in the world, and with it the worlds economy because you think that the automakers make a product that everyone wants to buy? or that you think we all should be driving alternative energy vehicles despite the fact that there is very little infrastructure to support the alternative energy vehicles?

just because some people think that electricity, or biofuels, are "green energy" and dont harm the environment, doesnt mean it is a fact. generating electricity has its damaging effects on the environment. hydro electric power plants affect natural fisheries and salmon runs. nuclear power plants generate a lot of toxic waste. even geothermal power plants have their issues, as do wind farms.

if you really want the world to use alternative energy sources, how about you pony up the trillions of dollars that will be needed to convert the worlds infrastructure over to support alternative energy sources.

our future energy needs are not going to be met by one source of energy. it will take several sources of energy to make things work in the future, including fossil fuels such as oil and coal.

  6. It makes total sense for them to keep putting out more combustion engines.

    1. People keep buying them.

    2. There's not a really good alternative right now.

If you want them to change, you have the right idea. If people stop buying their cars, they will have to change. The problem is, people need/want to get where they are going.

  7. Not sure you mean that we should boycott companies who produce both combustion engines and other engines. If a company produces a car that runs on batteries that it charges up with solar cells all over the upper surface, or solar cells on my house roof, but also produces cars with combustion engines, we should boycott their solar powered car?  This would be to teach them not to develop solar powered cars?

Perhaps we could just buy the solar powered cars and forget what else the company makes. It might give the message we want a bit more clearly.
