  1. yes, if all checks out o.k I have heard of people with toyotas that have over

    330,000 miles on them!!

  2. no bcz too much xpensive

  3. no.  i try not to pay much for anythign over 100k.  besides, for that price you could buy a Saturn, Mazda, Nissan sedan from 98-00 with half the mileage.

  4. Yes, Toyota is a good  car. 3 years I have driven my 1993 Camry with NO problems.

  5. Yea, Toyota's run FOREVER.  100,000 miles is nothing for a Toyota.  I sold my last Toyota with 234k miles and I STILL see it tooting around town.  I have an 05 Rav4, and it's the best car I've ever had.  I LOVE it.

  6. NO, freakin', WAY!!!

    LOL

  7. Me? No!

  8. Do some research on its history and take it to a mechanic to get checked out, as long as nothing shady pops up I say go for it.

I bought a '97 Rav4 with 145,000 for $5000 2 years ago. I talked to several family friends who are mechanics before I bought mine and they all said it was a great idea 145,000 is nothing for a Toyota.

My car now has 175,000 and it's still going strong. I had to have some exhaust work done last year, but that was due to rust which wasn't terribly shocking after 10 years of WI winters. I couldn't have asked for a better car for me. Its size is perfect, and it's absolutely amazing in the winter.

I left my car at my parents for a few months over the winter since I didn't have parking during bans. They both loved it and decided they're getting one when they get a new car.

As long as previous owners took decent care of it, I'd say go for it.

  9. i think you should save up and get a better car that will last

  10. haha h**l no

  11. i would buy a 2001 rav 4, under the following conditions...

    1) how many owners have owned this vehicle

    2)  get a car fax on the car

    3)  get some service history/repairs..

    4)  have your mechanic check it out for you

it  depends on who you are buying it from, and where

check out the body carefully, paint, rust.

also, call the nearest toyota dealer, and give them the vin number, and have them pull up the history on the car... or you can call teh 800#

1-800-331-4331... toyota customer service in california...

they can give you some info about the vehicle

    good luck..

its a great vehicle... haven't seen much in warranty repairs

just service your car, and do your regular maintence...

also.... do some homework on your prices too... blue book, etc...

  12. Toyota's last forever, and they get good gas mileage. If the body etc. is in good shape, then I would try to talk them down to $3500. You will definitely get your moneys worth out of this vehicle.

  13. yes in a heart beat i would a toyota will rust out like any car after awhile but the motor will keep on going and going. i had a toytoa 1973 toyota celica for many years and when i sold it it had 400,000 miles on it and it still ran good and it was all origainal except for the tires and radiator also my mom had a 2001 rav 4 and just got an 08 rav 4 and says they are the best cars she has ever owned by it if you can afford it you might even be able to talk him down on price if he needs to sell it that badly good luck.
