Question:

Would you buy a folding bike to go on bike rides?

I have nowhere to keep a normal bike but if I bought a folding one, it could live in my car boot.

Would you get one, or would you just rather not have one because you have a valid reason to never ever own one.

Thanks.

  1. Like everything else, you get what you pay for. There are some cheap, heavy, rubbish ones, and some lightweight ones with clever folding systems, folding pedals and lots of gears, some come with bags to be folded into and some don,t.

  2. Yeah.  They are cool.  I was on my mountain bike and some guy overtook me on one the other day.

  3. Ive never had or been on a folded bike so i dont know how safe/reliable they are so i prefer to stay on a normal one.

However if it feels secure then why not.

  4. There's nothing wrong with a folding bicycle. I don't ride them very often, as I don't normally need to take it on a bus or car, but they are very good. If you live in London, I have one that I am planning to sell actually.
