Would you buy......?

...a used futon/sofa bed if you were strapped for cash? Or would you wait and buy it new?

Personally, I'd wait to buy a new one and in the meanwhile get an airbed for 35 bucks at Walmart.  When it comes to things to sleep on, I don't mess with that.  You don't know what's in those fibers!

although i hate to admit it i think i would get a used one if i had no other alternative. but i wouldnt pay more than 10 bucks

I would buy it new. Unless you are just looking for a frame. I'm not prejudiced against a used frame, but buying the mattress used is gross. If you were to pass a black light over it...yuck!
