Would you buy this honda civic

Question

5500 dollars for a civic about 170 thousand k i dont know the year but it is probably a 94 or so full body kit lambo doors and it comes with a laptop inside and underglow i live in bc aside from a few mods the engine hasnt been tampered with too much. the laptop is for ajusting hp and stuff i think but im not sure. he also says he did the mods himself but ill have to check it out to see if he knew what he was doing

The mileage is a little high, but Civics do well even then. I would maybe go an even 5,000 and only if you don't plan to resell.  Mod cars don't really resell well.  All those additions don't add value. Also, it's possible that those mods make it so the car only runs on premium gas. That may or may not be an issue to you, but with gas these days, you want to save every where you can.

I wouldn't buy it. With the lambo doors and underglow, Im sure the previous owner was probably the type that beats on his car. And DIYing all the mods himself wouldn't make me feel any better either.

Unless you are into modding yourself or like to show off your car, don't get it. Usually mods have tendency to break even when they are done by professionals. Once they do, regular mechanics will charge you astronomical amounts as they have to spend a lot of time figure it all out.

For $5500 I am sure there are better cars out there. Also the mileage worries me.
