  1. No.

  2. YES

  3. Of course not. I don't think that actually there are many people who would, because illegal or not, their price is still too high for most. The trouble is, diamonds have well known channels of trade and the dealers usually do know their origin. The end customer doesn't.

  4. Would you buy a pair of Nike if you knew that they were made by child labor? Would you buy a Kia if you knew that the workers at the plant were paid slave wages? Everything is relative, If noone bought blood diamonds noone would sell them.

    I won't buy it...

  9. For the same reason, that a person would buy a Rolex watch on the street for $10 instead of paying retail for $1,000.  To have the material possession.  If you could buy a steak for $1.00, would you pass it up, knowing that the average steak costs $10.00?  If a bottle of wine could be had for $5, would you pay $25?  No, of course not.  Would you bother to find out all of the things associated with the less expensive item?  No, you'd be laughing all the way home, on how wonderful a deal you made.  Greed is your answer.

  12. No. Not even if is free. I would never buy any material thing that cost somebody's life.

  13. No one would knowingly buy a conflict diamond. That's why the smuggler hide the origin. This has been going on for decades. If the demand for diamonds had dropped, there would had been fewer limbs lost.

  14. The word is "buy" a diamond.  No, I would not buy any diamond.  They are all grossly over priced.  As jewelry, they serve no useful purpose.

  15. What about blood oil or blood rugs made by child labor in India or blood bricks from China or other products which were created by abusive industrialists?

  16. No and i would hand it back to the jeweler and hope he / she can provide me another. If not, I will take my business elsewhere.
