  1. if you see it happening, video tape it. Then call the police.

  2. Definitely do not talk with the neighbors or the kids doing this. They will take it out on you.  You must protect yourselves. When you call the police you need to figure out how to remain anonymous so they dont tell these people who called the police.  I hate to tell you this but believe me it is true: Your only solution is to move.

  3. I'd have to say call the parents first, then the police. Believe me, having to work against a bad record is a pain in the cabana, so use the cops option as little as possible.

  4. I would absolutely call the police.  The kids are showing no respect and if you don't believe that talking with the parents will result if anything more than lip service from the parents (if that), then it makes sense for the good of both the kids and the community to report the incidents.

  5. Here's what you do - keep a video camera handy and video them while they're there from your front window and then show the evidence to the police.

  6. Call the police.

  7. you call the police just like you thought you should.

  8. Not until I tried to reason with them and/or their parents. Of course, if those kids are doing that then neither they or their parents are reasonable. You have to remember, though, that if they know you called the police, they will probably be worse than ever.

  9. If you witnessed the offense, call the police and make a report.  Let the police contact the parents and/or arrest the kids.
