Beach Evening

by C.S. Scotkin

Cooler breezes,

seaweed fragrance,

tropic jade water.

Coquinas sparkle,

breathing jewels

feel vibrations,

dive into wet sand as one;

eyeless they peek,

see I’ve walked on.

Sit on the sand

little crabs fiddle,

scurry away.

This warm sea

has noticed me

breathing her ancient

rhythms, rhymes,

when sun sets

we breathe as one,

wait for stars

and wish…
