  1. i hate my name, but i wouldnt change it, only becuz of my parents. like...what if i changed it and then they passed away like 2 days later?? i would feel so guilty, and then changing it back would only make me feel guiltier

plus, if i named a kid something, i wouldnt want him/her to change the name i gave to them

  2. No because I am who I am and it has defined that name in particular, so by changing it it would be like erasing all my really cool past. I rock. Only if I had to go into witness protection or something like that.

  3. nahh its unique.

  4. Yes, if I hate it.

  5. Sure, if I found one I liked much better and suited me better and I thought was worth the effort and cost of legally changing my name.  "Your Highness" is great but sometimes it just gets so tiring always being asked for this or that all the time.

  6. Not I.  My youngest son was named for my grandfather, though, and when he was very young he was the only person he knew with his name.  It still is an uncommon name.  He used to say that when he was old enough, he was going to change his name to "Jason."  Go figure.  Well, he's now a grown man working in Chicago and he never changed his name.  Recently he confided that if and when he marries and has a son, he would consider naming his son this name, possibly as a middle name though.  I'm not giving the name here to protect his/our privacy.

  7. I wouldn't because it would be rude to do to my parents. They chose Courtney Elizabeth Barrington out of thousands of names so I guess I'll keep it. I do wish my name was Katey, Emma, or Abby =)

  8. Yes and no. I like the name I have now because its easy to say and seldom mispronounced, however the name I was given at birth before my parents became citizens and changed it was much more unique and defines me more since I used it for the first 17 years of my life. If I could I would change it back to my first name but I would never change it to something completely different out of respect for my parents.

  9. My name it's hard to pronounce for most, a celebrity has it - I don't want that association, and my family and friends hardly EVER call me by my real name. So yes, I should consider a name change later in life.

  10. I'm considering it. My name is too.....different. I would do it for professional reasons depending on what I'm going to do for work later. I don't really care in my current job.
