  1. I did cheat once and told a lie to save my friendship and my love, but thats not good.

Now everytime I look into their face something inside nags me "you did wrong, you cheated them, you are not worth of their love".

I suppose I will feel this guilty conscience life long, and I have been inventing new lies to cover up the already told ones, so i have been living under the shadow of lies.

    I hate it.

  2. Well they're (the politicians) not exactly improving themselves are they?

It's not like they're learning an instrument or helping society or anything...

  3. Not at all, because I want enlightenment which demands truthfulness and righteousness.

Politicians want power at any cost.

  4. If by better you mean getting what I want, THEN YES!

    It's that simple!

  5. Never. I know the law of life.Whatever you do comes back to you in like measure. You get reaction to your action. As it is the law of nature, no body can change it. Not even God.

  6. No, I wouldn't.  I have a moral code that I live by and cheating lying and stealing have no place in my life.

  7. It might further your cause in the short term but you have to be able to look at yourself in the mirror each day. If you have a conscience, it will eventually get to you. Politicians are always judged by their actions, why would you ever see their actions as anything to live by?

Also, if you can't do anything by your own merit, people will eventually see you as a loser and you will not have the confidence to achieve anything - you won't know if you really can do it or not.

  8. Well....you wouldn't exactly be bettering yourself by stooping to those levels.

  9. No I wouldn't because anything build on cheating, lieing and stealing will ultimately come to no good because it is not built on a right foundation. It's like the man that built his house on the sand and the wind came and blew it away.

And we are going to get rid of or they will change the politicians that have infractions that are punishable by the law.

  10. I don't trust that b/c it will always come back to bite me in the ash (@$$) later on.

  11. Depends in which way you wish to "better" yourself. Attempting to better yourself morally/behavourally this way would be link trying to pull yourself up by standing in a bucket and hauling on the handle. But people can and have bettered themselves finacially, educational, their status etc this way.

Do you know why politicians lie? Because the ones that tell the truth don't get elected, because no one likes what they are saying. It's not (just) that we have the wrong politicians. We also have the wrong public...

  12. Politicians do indeed! They cheat, lie and steal to reach the pinnacle of success in betterment. This is mostly about having money/property, and having more power to have more money/property. And then more…

But if you take them as role models, you first have to learn to bed with stress! Politicians are perpetually in the public eye because their wheel of fortune keeps turning. And all those on the way up, must prepare for the way down.

As in the game of musical chairs, there are many competitors for the one chair. Friendships and alliances are purely convenience. The politician who loses the vote is fair game, and nobody loses sleep over backstabbing or throwing to the hounds when things get tight.

So the politician’s way to ‘better your self’ is only relative in time. The stress will kill - if other politicians don’t do it first!

  13. its depend on our character.

if we have some policies on our life , don't do.

no matter its also doing by sombody else. its still wrong

so be yourself & have some good policies in your life

sure finally you will get good results, goodwill, respect from others - which will help to make you a better life
