Would you compare football to bull fighting?

This tiny little 10year old toreador has been banned in France bcos he is too young.

Some people feel its like stopping a child from playing football.

What do you feel?

ive read the article and it was the 10 year old boy that made  the comparison to football. to him bullfighting is a game, as football is a game. the bullfighting game in france is harmless fun. ive seen it. they lads have to grab a ribbon from the horns of the bull. these bulls are not  gigantic.  he should be allowed to do it as he has the experience and is unlikely to harm himself or the bull.

I think with time, these "fighting sports" will be banned.

I think the training of people to "look away" and to not get analytical by traditional dysfunctional religions, using words like "mystery" to explain away logical attempts to disprove illogical precepts have allowed cruelty in many forms to continue into this life.

In the future, however,  I forsee a time, when no being can be killed,nor permanently injured without a fix and or not brought completely back to life.   When that day occurs, it may very well become ordinary and proper for such events/games to resurface and to take place civilly.

Mankind continues to push the envelope of our existence and make contact with and try to control our mortality.  We are not there yet, but some day it may happen.

For today, as I realize that people can be hurt real bad and not come back from it, these things, these fights to the death, cruelty to animals...fellow beings...should be banned!  I agree.

Life does not always seem FAIR!

Hi!  I am a Forgive Affirmed Spirit and this is what I profess and try to act like.

Forgive Affirmed Spirit is the belief in a way of life that is a method of grief resolution and functional communication processing involving active listenning, sympathy, empathy and affirmation of shock, denial, anger, guilt, depression, loneliness and hope...a kind of ego-equilibrium seeking methodology.

A Greater Works of communication and action, a way to learn to love your enemies "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you AS IF YOU WERE THEM!"  



And nobody is perfect!  NOBODY!  We are all judgeable, hopefully in a graceful discerning way!   We are all doing our best every moment!

Humans judge everything  as we are a part of it.  Without difference, we have nothing to live for, nothing to witness.  Sin is difference, the relative seriousness with regards to law and survival of other beings, is punishable by the courts. The best way to judge is with as much graceful discernment as one can muster in a given moment!

Life is the question(uncertainty) asked by the exhaling infinitely compacted imagination invention, or no thing, which is completely certain of everything, completely omniscient or all knowing.

When I die, I believe I will be in a new state, aware of all that is and yet divided into the nature of dust that I am in, whereupon my dust shall fall.  My being will remain an infinite part of an infinite being and infinite knowledge without my material human being status of now. So there will be a change.



But my soul, my passions and discompassions, will move on to infinite places of comfort and challenge.  Able to return to this state of uncertainty and free choice illusion for another ride when it is called effectively to do so.

So that the children of God, the creations of God, .. are actually part in parcel of that God or Creation Energy!

This  life is a roller coaster ride. Enjoy your passion within it and whatever gathering of two or more in Forgive Affirmed Spirit to make it better can garner.

Bull fighting - I am so macho,the bull is weakened first and when totally knackered,I stab it with a sword!

football is a sport played by people who want to do it...bull fighting is barbaric and the bull is put through unnecessary pain and suffering for what some class as sport....should have been banned years ago nothing short of cruelty

No . Footballers do not chase the smallest youngest player around and stab it to death.

He is FAR too young to be involved in Blood Sports. It will have been his parents putting him up to it. How can a 10 year old discover Bull Fighting without the help of an adult.... Grose people.

well it would be like stopping a child from playing football if the opposing team had horns, weighted over a ton each and could trample and gore him to death.

I don't however think bull fighting should be banned you have to remember theres is the occasional time the bull doesn't lose and that makes it better in my mind. :)

I would ban every bull fighter because it's barbaric in fact I would have every bull fighter killed I dislike football but bull fightingg is horrible I think they did it for his safety the bull would have killed him not that I care

I look at bull fighting as the last surviving part in use today by people of the Roman games. All the rest are gone and now it is just the bull fighting that remains. Been that way for over one and half thousand years. Amazing really that it still goes on, it was kept on by some at the start by people that did not want to go for the Christian emperors wishes you know.  Wonder how many of the mass going Spaniards that go to it every time know they are going to something that is a defiance against the Christian Emperors.

I do know priests bless the ring, do these men not know they  in some cases bless a ring where men women and children were executed for crimes in the morning then there was the bull fighting and finally the main event the gladiators fighting to the death. All in fact as part of a funeral right for some dead Roman.

I personally think that it is far from a decent comparison.  One has to be able to realize the obvious differences between human and animal. Sure the kid loves it but his life is way more endangered than a football player's.  I think the comparison is terrible but the kid should be able to fight bulls.  If his parents allow him to and he wants to, then go ahead and let him... They are the ones responsible for his life, not me or anyone else on yahoo...If he died, i wouldn't lose any sleep simply because he agreed to that path despite the obvious risks.
