Would you consider Joe Namath a better QB than Dan Marino? See below for important details please.

I'm asking this because there are so many people who believe that a QB's greatness is directly tied to their SB victories. Even though Namath has a ring, ther's no way that I'd consider him a better QB than Marino.

Namath sucks and only won the same way the sissy Eli Manning did and that was with overconfidence.

Marino is one of, if not THE, greatest QB in the History, only we never call him that for he couldn't win a SB ring, whereas Montana got a nice # of them

I don't think he was, but had arthroscopic surgery been available to Namath, he may have set records that were still standing. In those days when one had knee surgery, that leg was pretty much a walking stick.He finished his career pretty much as a cripple.

namath in my opinion was really not that great of a qb

marino i feel was way overrated

i judge a qb by how he leads his team though THE WHOLE SEASON, not just the regular season, i mean the post season too

marino was a huge choker, he was horrible in the play offs and just because he broke and set records doesnt mean hes the best qb of all time like ive heard peopole call him

now at least namath knew how to play in big games

i hate dan marino i really do, he just gets on my nerves

Not even close. All Joe Namath ever did was win one Super Bowl. His numbers are horrible, I can't believe he is even in the HOF.

I don't care if Dan Marino never won a Super Bowl. He's definitely one of the top, if not the top, quarterback of all time.

Joe Namath is in the Hall of Fame because he was the first hollywood type football player.

Of course Marino was better than Namath,the only reason Namath is famous is because he guranteed the Jets would win a Super Bowl when they were big underdogs,other than that he was mediocre.

Namath was pretty average but he did have that winning spirit.  Talent wise Marino is WAY better.

To be honest there are better QB's playing now than Joe Namath and Dan Marino.  I am a huge New England Patriots fan and have to say Tom Brady is going to surpass any QB who ever lived by the time he retires.  Peyton isn't too shabby but don't tell anyone I said that!
