I am sure that in certain countries it is considered ethnic cuisine,  just like when I use to go to Sri Lanka and Bangkok,  they have KFC,  in Bangkok it tasted of a very asian flavour and in Sri Lanka there was a very definate taste of curry in it

Mc donalds came from America. Americans are made up of different ethnicities, not just one. Thus Mc donalds is not an ethnic cusine because many ethnicities enjoy it or created what it is today.
