Nope sorry, Errors do not tell the story of how good you are defensively.  For example, if I stood in left field, and caught all balls hit at me, but none that I had to run for, I would have a 1.000% fielding percentage.

Range is a big factor for defense, and Braun has minimal range.  You also have to consider the jumps the fielder gets on the ball and things like that.

Well solely on the stat that he has no errors on the season and also that he have 8 assists will atleast put him in the picture for a gold glove.

Also, how bout my boy Nate McLouth, no errors himself. 5 assists, have played all 3 outfield positions, turned 1 double play and 293 putouts, about 74 more putouts than Bruan :P

ya he might not have any errors, but i think the score keeper in milwaukee is extremely generous to braun. in the series against the cubs at miller park alone there were about 3 or 4 plays that could have been called errors and they bailed braun out. Plus errors in the outfield are decieving. Jim Edmonds has made 5 errors this season and everybody on earth knows Jimmy is WAY better defensively than braun is. Plus the worst defensive player is usually the left fielder (soriano, manny ramirez, pat burrell, ryan braun, carlos lee, matt holliday, carlos quentin, etc.) So to answer your question, NO WAY.

Are you kidding? He is not even a good fielder, he does have a great bat though. Do you watch the games? There is a consensus about this guy's fielding and it ain't good.
