Nope, Had a 04 gxsr and loved it. The more current the year the faster they are. Don't for get the Power Commander to unlock the rest of the potential.

Anyone who says that doesn't know how to ride or harness the true power of a 600cc bike on the street or track. There aren't any girls racing in the AMA 600cc class.

I've ridden 1000's and 600's on the street. Both have their plusses and minuses. People who say that are jealous because of their insurance rates on their 1000's + and they are too arrogant to respect someone's decision on the bike they chose.

You really have to look under the seat to tell for sure.  But I do know that touring bikes have too much blubber to make you want to know and Harley's are so disgusting it'd be like looking up the skirt of the trailer park manager so tread carefully.

If they are girl bikes, well, I guess that means I like chicks and they like me.  (Rob E...read my answer in your link carefully if you are referring to me...I'm not bashing your bike at all, quite the contrary).

If your riding buddies are giving you a hard time about your bike being a 600 then get some practice in and show them what a 600 can do.  An 07 600 has about the same power as an older 900cc bike.  120 horse is nothing to laugh at.  Your bike will rape any Harley so are they girls bikes, don't answer that we don't want to get them all rilled up.

If you keep your bike in it's powerband, high revs, you will have no problem keeping up with the big bikes.

a 600 is a fine bike, and you should have no problem keeping up with 90% of traffic...

there are a few super-speeders around, but you're faster than most stock cars on the road...

a 600 is a fine choice, but get some thicker skin, motoryclists tease each other a LOT

Only if a mindless lemming like you is riding it.  Otherwise a 600cc is a perfectly good motorcycle.  Riding motorcycles is not a school children's play yard. Be an adult and ride for yourself and not what others say...
