Would you consider plastic surgery a form of body modification =/?

My mum and I were talking about it the other day,

she said it could probably fall into the category.

it really got me thinking =/

Of course it is.  Any kind of surgery (cutting into the flesh) is a form of modification as it either temporarily or permanently modifies it.

That said, I am all for it.

If it is used in its' proper form (to correct a trait one is unhappy with), why not!  It is like this:  If you suffered from a trait, characteristic, health problem, etc., that bothered you, you would fix it.  COrrect? 'nuff said.

Yes. You are modifying your body; you are changing parts of your physical appearance. Whether it's your face, nose, b*****s, etc., you are changing your natural look. It's artificial and therefore not real. You're making changes to yourself.
