Would you consider "giving food to a beggar and asking him to go in a shelter" an act of social work?

  1. if he is perfectly fit.. and doesn have any body disorders.. then you should help him in all ways u can!!!!!!!!  


  2. Yes, but I would never ask anyone to do anything they didn't want to do. I would just let them know there options & help them as much as I could if they sought help...I think people do work in many ways that aren't structued. I worked most of live helping people but didn't get paid for it & there is not written record of it. So if you are asking if giving food to someone counts as sociol work I would say yes. If you are working for a certain sociol agency though you might have to go under their guidelines if you are working on something that needs to be measurable.

  3. Dont know about social work, but it's an act of kindness. Better to give them food and hope they seek shelter rather than money, which may go towards who knows what.

  4. I would consider that as social work. It would have been better if the begger was taken to authorities/shelter for appropriate action.
